Effective Date: March 4, 2026
This Privacy Policy describes the categories of information that BarRatio LLC ("BarRatio," "we," "us," or "our") may collect, use, disclose, retain, and otherwise process in connection with the BarRatio application and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
We may collect and process certain identifiers and device-authentication information, including persistent device identifiers, device-auth records, token-related records, and related technical metadata, in order to operate, administer, and secure the Services.
We may also collect application preferences, push notification tokens, subscription verification information, technical, diagnostic, and security-related information, and profile attributes that you elect to provide, including gender selections and trend preferences.
When location-based features are enabled or used, we may collect, generate, and retain location-related and venue-presence information, including nearby bar lookups, bar entry and exit events, session duration, last known coordinates, and related analytics or operational signals associated with use of the Services.
We may use information for purposes including, without limitation, operating, maintaining, supporting, securing, improving, and administering the Services; enabling location-based and venue-analytics features; delivering notifications; verifying subscriptions; detecting, investigating, preventing, and responding to fraud, abuse, misuse, and unauthorized activity; enforcing feature restrictions, platform rules, contractual terms, and legal rights; and complying with applicable legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information to service providers, contractors, infrastructure providers, analytics providers, and other vendors that assist in operating, supporting, securing, or improving the Services. We may also disclose information where we determine in good faith that such disclosure is required or appropriate to comply with law, regulation, legal process, or lawful governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, safety, users, or integrity of BarRatio, the Services, or others.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide, administer, and support the Services; comply with legal obligations; resolve disputes; enforce agreements and policies; support analytics and internal operations; and protect the Services against fraud, abuse, misuse, and unauthorized activity. Retention periods may vary depending on the nature of the information and the purposes for which it is processed.
Without limiting the foregoing, venue-presence history, security logs, device-auth records, subscription verification records, and related analytics or operational records may be retained following deactivation where reasonably necessary for service integrity, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, feature-limit enforcement, historical analytics, dispute resolution, compliance, or other legitimate business or legal purposes.
You may manage certain permissions, including location and notifications, through your device settings, subject to applicable platform controls. You may also request deactivation of your device’s access to the Services. Deactivation disables active access and may result in the removal of certain active operational data, such as push tokens, current location state, and live presence state. However, deactivation does not necessarily require the deletion of all associated records, and certain information may be retained as described in this Privacy Policy for security, abuse prevention, feature-limit enforcement, legal compliance, dispute resolution, analytics, and other legitimate purposes.
Questions or requests relating to privacy or data practices may be directed to [email protected].
We implement administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect information against unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. Notwithstanding the foregoing, no method of transmission, storage, or security safeguard is wholly infallible, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Services are intended solely for individuals who are at least 21 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under 21 years of age.
We may revise or update this Privacy Policy from time to time in our discretion. Any changes will become effective upon posting the revised version on this page, unless otherwise indicated.
